03 Nov Butternut pancakes with Reishi and Chaga
This recipe is not only very delicious but also adds to one’s health because of the many healthy ingredients.
Mushroom powders can be of aid where one needs some help with their digestion. Poor digestion may add to physical and mental stress.
Chaga is known to stimulate the liver, prompting it to create digestive bile. This process can help the digestive system to better break down foods, especially proteins.
In herbal medicine, Reishi, is used as an adaptogen. It helps your body adapt to stress and is safe for long-term use.
We hope you can enjoy this recipe just as much as we did.
– 1/2 cup mashed butternut
– 1 cup plantbased milk
– 1 tsp vanilla powder
– 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
– 2 tbsp grapeseed oil
– 1 tbsp coconut blossom sugar
– 1 1/4 cup spelt flour
– 2 tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1 tsp ginger powder
– 1 tsp biscuit spices
– 1 tsp Reishi powder
– 1 tsp Chaga powder
Mix everything together (first dry, then wet ingredients). Let it sit for about 10 minutes. Bake the pancakes and enjoy them savory (for example, with avocado and sundried tomatoes and seeds or sweet with cashew butter, fruits, raw cacao nibs, coconut yogurt..) *Note that these pancakes are not so sweet. So if you prefer them sweeter, you can always add some coconut blossom sugar or top your pancakes with maple syrup.
