Mush Moon Milk Recipe

Warm (nut)milk is a common remedy for sleeplessness. This recipe includes nutmeg (a natural sleep aid) and Reishi (an adaptogen that helps your body deal with stress) to guide you to your dream world.

RECIPE PREPARATION

Bring milk to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in cinnamon, turmeric, reishi, cardamom, and nutmeg. Give it all a good whisk to get rid of any clumps. Reduce heat to low, and continue to cook until warmed through, 5–10 minutes (the longer you go, the stronger the medicine). Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Lastly, stir in the maple syrup. Pour into a mug, drink warm, and climb right into bed.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of unsweetened plant based milk (such as oat, almond, or hazelnut)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon Reishi
  • 2 pinches of ground cardamom
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
